Supportive Housing is Key to Ending Homelessness.

Avalon Housing is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to developing and managing permanent supportive rental housing for people with extremely low incomes in Washtenaw County. We own and / or operate 324 units, scattered at twenty three sites throughout Ann Arbor. Most of our rents are structured to be affordable to people with incomes at or below 30% of the area median income. The majority of our households include people who were homeless or who have a mental or physical disability. Voluntary support services are available to all tenants to help them maintain their housing and enhance their quality of life.

A VERY special benefit concert!

MAVIS STAPLES, legendary R&B / gospel singer wowed and inspired us all with her incredible show for Avalon Housing!

A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and one of VH1's "100 Greatest Women in Rock and Roll", Mavis has been a musical and social inspiration for decades. Along with the Staples Singers, her music was the soundtrack to the Civil Rights Movement, and her first hit came even before she graduated from high school.
