Avalon Housing hosts 5 days of sharing ideas on innovation in sustainability and community building!
“With a little help from our friends…” we’re launching Avalon Housing’s whirlwind edu-thon on November 6, 2008, featuring two nationally-known visionaries and activists in the local living economies and sustainability movements – Los Angeles’ FRITZ HAEG and Philadelphia’s JUDY WICKS!

In preparing Judy’s favorite recipes, Chef Alex Young has found a kindred spirit in his quest to grow and serve his own farm grown and locally produced foods. This multi-course feast, seasoned with Judy’s stories and activist anecdotes, will satisfy your soul and appetite, enrich your mind and warm your heart.
