How to Apply

We are no longer accepting applications.

If you have submitted an application to us, we will send you information via the mail within 30 days.

From all of the applications received in the last two weeks (or with a postmark no later than November 6th),  we will randomly select 30 one-bedroom / efficiency applications, 30 two-bedroom applications and 15 three-bedroom applications - a total of 75 applications to constitute our wait list.

We anticipate going through this shortened wait list in less than a year, and will then conduct a similar process to reopen the list at that time.

We understand the demand for affordable housing is higher than ever right now, and are working constantly to develop new projects.  We believe that maintaining a shorter list and opening it more frequently will make things more efficient.

PLEASE NOTE:

 In addition to our own affordable housing stock, Avalon is now managing three properties owned by Washtenaw Affordable Housing Corp (WAHC) that do have vacancies and no waiting list.  However, the rents at these properties are higher, ranging from $425 - $535 for a one-bedroom unit, $510 - 635 for a two bedroom unit, and $585 - $760 for a three-bedroom unit.  The properties are in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.
