Who We Serve

Avalon’s property management and maintenance teams share the common goal of helping our tenants succeed. Avalon coined the term “Enhanced Management” to reflect the way we blend social work into the business of being a landlord. We hire social workers and train them to be property managers. They are then able to focus on community engagement.

A Special Message About Kids

Children of Avalon Housing in After School Program

Children of Avalon Housing in After School Program

We now have about 150 children living in Avalon communities and we believe that it is vitally important to invest time, energy and resources to help children who are at-risk of becoming homeless as adults.

Avalon offers a number of youth programs and provides valuable individual support to help children succeed at school and at home. Our Plant A Seed youth leadership program helps vulnerable young people build skills and grow in ways that ensure they will not have to experience the long-term poverty and homelessness that their parents endured.
