Volunteer
There are a number of ways to volunteer with Avalon, depending on your interests and schedule.
Group Projects
Is your group looking for a service project? We welcome seasonal help, like cleanup and grounds work, including weeding and/or planting of native plants in our garden beds.
Food Pantry Volunteers
Help provide access to healthy food! Pantry volunteers work with Avalon’s staff and tenants on all aspects of our Pauline and Carrot Way pantries, including set up, food pick up and clean up. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a 6-month minimum. Starting in mid-January 2024, we will be looking for/following up with new pantry volunteers. Learn more.
Art Program Volunteers
Art program volunteers facilitate one-hour art sessions at Avalon’s Hickory Way property. They plan projects, set up and assist tenants with their projects as needed. We look for volunteers who can commit to a 6-month minimum. Learn more.
